As a media sponsor for the 2009 Cow Pie Blues Festival at Shagbark Farms in Caledonia, Michigan, WYCE is pleased to announce that tickets are on sale now. This year's line-up includes slide guitarist Sonny Landreth, WSNB, Carolyn Wonderland, Motorcity Josh and many more local, regional and national blues acts. The 2009 Cow Pie festival is a two-day event, with music Friday and Saturday, August 7th and 8th. Individual day tickets are available, as well as two-day passes which include on-site camping. In June, we welcome Stacey Earle and Mark Stuart, presented by Hopcat. There is an innocent quality to Stacey Earle's voice, it seems honest and clear. Her husband and musical counterpart Mark Stuart adds his warmth to their union. Together, they share the lead, the writing and the road. The FREE show starts at 7:00PM on Wednesday June 11th at Wealthy Theatre. WYCE joins Local First to celebrate local food, local beer and local music at the 5th Annual Local First Street Party. The event will feature Founder's Brewing Company's special "Local First Street Party Brew," food from numerous local restaurants, and live music from Simeon the Whale, the Lynn Thompson Band, The Mighty Narwale, Chance Jones and La Familigia! The Local First Street Party takes place Saturday, June 14th, from 4:00 p.m. to midnight. The party happens outside of Bistro Bella Vita at 44 Grandville SW -- just around the corner from Van Andel Arena. As always, the Street Party is free!
