WYCE congratulates The Hawks & Owls String Band on the release of their debut album, "Farmer's Valuable Friends." The CD features original music along with traditional old-time string band music from all over the world, recorded "the old-fashioned way" -- with all instruments playing together "live". Hawks & Owls CD release party for "Farmer's Valuable Friends" takes place starting at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, March 30th at One Trick Pony. Only 100 tickets are available for this exclusive event. The 2008 WYCE Spring Fund Drive is coming soon, and we've decided to celebrate! In the second week of the drive, WYCE will present three concerts. On Monday, we'll have Bay Area female folk quintet Blame Sally at a free Hat Trick concert. On Wednesday, it will be our Fund Drive open house concert and party at Wealthy Theatre, featuring a headline performance by Peter Mulvey. This WYCE Wednesdays at Wealthy show is also free. And, to wrap it all up, we present Cheryl Wheeler with special guest Kenny White. Blame Sally, FREE, at One Trick Pony on Monday, April 7th. Peter Mulvey and the WYCE open house party, also free, at Wealthy Theatre on Wednesday, April 9th. And, Cheryl Wheeler with Kenny White on Friday, April 11th at Wealthy Theatre.
