Actor's "Seven Passages" auditions (click for more info)
Actors' Theatre announces a unique audition opportunity for "Seven Passages: The Stories of Gay Christians", an original work of ethnographic theatre being created in West Michigan this fall. This work will combine interview transcripts, passages from Scripture and scholarly research to form a play addressing what the producers call "one of the deepest conflicts in contemporary culture": reconciling Christianity and homosexuality. The goal of this piece of theatre is to issue a call for reconciliation, to open the door and get the conversation rolling. The audition process will begin with an afternoon workshop on Sunday, May 20th from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. in Spectrum Theatre's audition space. More information can be found at actorsatspectrum.org or by calling the Spectrum Theatre box office at 616-234-3946.
