The movie Why We Fight will be shown at Wealthy Theatre until March 30. Director Eugene Jarecki's documentary, Why We Fight, examines America's relationship with the privatized military corporations of today and how they influence American foreign and domestic policy. Winner of the GrandJury Prize at last year's Sundance Film Festival; Why We Fight includes interviews with John McCain, Richard Perle,Bill Kristol, and Gore Vidal. The West Michigan Academy for Girls is hosting its first ever benefit concert. "Celebrate: Women & Song, A Tribute Judy Lloyd" on Tuesday, March 28th at 7:30Pm in St. Cecilia Music Society's Royce Auditorium. The group decided to make the event a tribute to Judy Lloyd because of her participation on the academy's board and support of the choral company prior to her passing last year. A light reception will follow the performance.

The Adopt-A-Stream program involves volunteers of all ages, and from all sorts of groups, in cleaning-up, monitoring and restoring streams throughout Kent County and surrounding areas. Teams participate in stream bank clean-ups, corridor studies, water quality studies and stream enhancement projects.
