Come celebrate the best of local, independent and alternative music, with live presentations of awards in nearly 20 categories, and live performances from over 20 bands! Wear your pajamas to the show and you can pick out a free CD from our collection. This year's Jammies will be held at The Intersection, which will be smoke-free for this night only! The 10th annual WYCE Jammies take place on Tuesday, February 17th. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.; music starts at 5:45. As always, the Jammies will be presented FREE by your community radio station. WYCE and The West Michigan Blues Society present the 2009 Cabin Fever Blues Series every Saturday night in February at Billy's Lounge. The series kicks off with Nick Moss and The Flip Tops on February 7th. Chicago blues is the specialty of guitarist Nick Moss who recently opened up for Buddy Guy. Though the golden era of Chicago blues is long past with many of its key players deceased or retired, this young Chicagoan stands tallest in the current generation of blues performers. To raise funds for this years' annual Water Festival, Michigan musicians Hawks and Owls, The Mighty Narwhale and Ralston Bowles will be performing at a pre-festival event at Wealthy Theatre. Local environmentalists and concerned citizens will gather to present information to educate and activate the public around water issues. The Water Festival Winter Fundraiser takes place Friday, February 13th at 7pm at Wealthy Theatre.
