W@W - January 14th (click for more info)For the January edition of WYCE at Wealthy, we present "Buster In Blue", a screening of the classic Buster Keaton silent film "The General", accompanied LIVE by an original score from local band Blue Dahlia.
The film stars Keaton as a Confederate railroad engineer who has two loves-- his girl, and his engine. Blue Dahlia will create music for the film that will transport you into the story, steaming along with a groove inspired by The Meters, Edgar Allen Poe, traditional Irish and American tunes, coupled with tango, bluegrass and rock ânâ roll.
The show begins at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, January 14th. Tickets are $4 in advance, $8 the day of the show and are available by visiting wyce.org or the Wealthy Theatre Box Office.
This show at Wealthy Theatre is made possible with support from The Black Rose Irish Pub. Additional support comes from Ether LAN Portal. Proceeds from this show benefit 88.1 FM WYCE.
