"Wednesdays At Wealthy" is a weekly event at the Koning MicroCinema in Wealthy Theatre. Every second Wednesday of the month WYCE rocks out with a musical event. In May, we present, "BOMB-ba-dil,", sponsored by Hopcat. Bombadil is a band that Magnet Magazine calls, "A drunker, circus-reared version of 'The Band.'"
"BOMB-ba-dil's" sound is inspired by Bolivian folk music; they have a sound all their own and a stage show to match. The FREE show starts at 7:00PM on Wednesday May 14th at Wealthy Theatre. Information about this and other "Wednesdays at Wealthy" events is available by calling 459-4788 Ext 130 or on-line at www.grcmc.org. The Grand Rapids Women's Chorus presents their 12th annual spring concert "Now We Hope", singing for global health, world peace, reconciliation and renewal. In celebration of the Spring season, the GRWC will present “Lambscapes”, a fun and surprising music history lesson set in Gregorian chant, baroque, German classical, and Italian operatic styles. The chorus will again present this year’s commissioned piece from Marian Helms entitled “Salmon Run,”as well as “Mountain Song” from Holly Near, and many other songs. "Now We Hope" will be held on Saturday May 10th at 8:00pm in St Cecilia's Royce Auditorium. Information is available on-line at www.grwc.org.
