WYCE enters the 2008 concert season with a performance from Blackie and the Rodeo Kings and Their Traveling Roadshow Extravaganza -- presented by Hopcat. Blackie & The Rodeo Kings is a collaboration between three longtime solo artists, Colin Linden, Stephen Fearing and Tom Wilson, who have recently released a wonderful collection of music called "Let's Frolic". Local acoustic roots band Arganik will open the show.
The concert takes place Thursday, January 24th at 7:30PM at Wealthy Theatre. Tickets are just $8 through Friday, January 18th, at which point they go up to the regular price of $12. All proceeds benefit your station, 88.1 FM WYCE. Tickets can be purchased by calling 616-459-4788 x130.

Method Acting Class at CMC (click for more info)
Method Acting classes are here at the Community Media Center and you may become part of the group at any time. Meeting on Tuesday evenings, method acting classes will be taking place in the Wealthy Theatre Annex. Classes start at 6pm and run until 8pm. Join the fun learning from an experienced stage and screen actor, Jadon Fowler. You'll learn the basics of method acting and have the opportunity to attend a stage production and perform in the Wealthy Theatre. You must be a CMC member and the cost is $5 per class.

To raise funds for this years' annual Water Festival, Michigan musicians Hawks and Owls, Seth Bernard and Daisy May and Rachel Davis will be performing at a pre-festival event at Wealthy Theatre. Local environmentalists and concerned citizens will gather to present information to educate and activate the public around water issues.
The Water Festival Winter Fundraiser is on Saturday January 5th at 7:00PM at Wealthy Theatre.
