Ladybug/Icicles (click for more info)This coming Wednesday, August 1st, WYCE and Microindie present "The Ladybug Transistor," with special Grand Rapids guests "Tiger Passion," and "The Icicles!"
This "cant miss" event is WYCE's first opportunity to showcase the Wealthy Theatre's brand new concert sound system!
Brooklyn-based Chamber Pop act "The Ladybug Transistor" will be promoting their sixth album. Gary Olson's distinctive vocals are a cross between Linsdey Buckingham's "Fleetwood Mac" and the "Beatles," with a scintillating (SIN-Tuh-late-ing) indie pop tinge.
"The Icicles'" sugar-sweet hooks, strong songwriting, and self-tailored costumes have been charming Grand Rapids audiences since their Pure Sugar EP in 2001. Now the band is promoting a national single and the release of their third album!
For this special event, the Wealthy Theatre will offer a cash bar. Doors open at 7pm.
Advance-discount tickets are available at Schuler Books & Music, Vertigo Records, and The Beat Goes On. More details at WYCE.org.
