Havana Nights is a fundraiser that will feature Cuban cuisine, mojitos and a silent auction -- as well as live music from the 11-piece Orquesta Ritmo, Michigan's Premier Salsa Orchestra. All proceeds will benefit First-Hand Aid's humanitarian efforts to supply medical basics to Cuban children with cancer. WYCE will finish off the Spring Hat Trick season on Monday ,June 4, at the One Trick Pony on 136 E. Fulton. The exciting three-piece acoustic group "Devil in a Woodpile." will take the stage at 7:30pm. Devil in a Woodpile breathes new, booty-shaking high spirit into the string band. The band features Rick Sherry on vocals, harp, washboard and clarinet; Tom Ray on upright bass and Joel Paterson on guitar. The Hat Trick series is presented by the law firm of Rhoades McKee, with support from Mark Swanson, maker of acoustic stringed instruments including guitars and bazoukis. The Sight Seer Radio Reading program will benefit from the final Hat. More information about all of our concerts is available at WYCE dot org.
