Live and Local- Fellaz and Legends (click for more info)
On Friday March 23rd WYCE will celebrate the Live and Local Fund Drive with a Concert with local jazz trio Fffellaz, three members from Funkilinium that improvise on keyboard, bass and drums. The music is nothing less than spectacular, and no audience believes that it’s being created on stage and completely unrehearsed! This concert will take place in the GRTV studio, just down the hall from WYCE's studios at the Community Media Center, 711 Bridge Street Northwest. The show -- which will be simulcast on Livewire! cable channel 24 -- starts at 7:00pm on Friday, March 23th. When you come to WYCE to check out The Fffelaz, grab a free ticket to see the Reggae Legends Birthday Bash at The Intersection Lounge. These annual performances, in honor of Bob Marley's birthday, feature national and international reggae stars, as well as local reggae artists. This year's Grand Rapids show features Zion Lion and the Hydro Afro Reggae band. Thanks to the musicians who have donated their time to help raise funds for WYCE.
