Members of the youth council allow the voice of the city's young people to be heard in city government affairs.

Circle Pines Center is hosting Create-A-Thon 2006, a weekend to paint, take pictures, compose music, write or otherwise create to your heartâs content. Create-A-Thon 2006 takes place Friday, September 29th through Sunday, October 1st.
The Circle Pines Center is located in southwestern Michigan near Gun Lake and the Yankee Springs Recreation area. The weekend includes food and lodging amidst orchards, paths through the forest, a lake and meadows.

WYCE is pleased to announce the return of the Hat Trick Concert series at One Trick Pony in downtown Grand Rapids. This year's performers include Danielle Howle, Ellis Paul with (ONN-jay DOO-vuh-kott) Antje Duvekot, Birdie Busch, Cat Russell and Dayna Kurtz.
Next Hat Trick Concert is on October 2nd with Danielle Howle Howle is an up and coming artist touring in support of her debut album. "Thank You, Mark", produced by Mark Bryan. Howleâs songwriting shows an artist at the peak of her craft, skillfully blending Americana with R&B, classic jazz and a dash of swing, all stamped with her uniquely Southern sensibility.
As always, this Hat Trick concert will be free. We will pass a hat for Mel Trotter Women's Program, providing shelter and other services for troubled women and children. Thanks to Fountain Hill Bed and Breakfast for providing lodging and to Ad America for providing T-shirts. Support also provided by Mark Swanson, maker of electric & acoustic guitars, mandolins, and bouzoukis.

Presented by the West Grand Neighborhood Organization the market features farm fresh produce, baked goods, and other ethnic and handmade products, the Westside Farmers market will be in the parking lot of St James Catholic Church, 733 Bridge NW.
