"Step It Up" is a national effort to convince our legislators to Step It Up and reduce the energy use of the United States by 80% for the year 2050. There will be three events on April 14th, one at the Hispanic Center of West Michin on Hall and Grandville at 10:30am, the second is at Aquinas College at 1607 Robinson Rd SE from 2-4pm and then at Divine Grace Ministries – Fuller & Franklin, 4pm – 6pm. The True North Film Festival is a new filmmaking competition and microcinema showcase based in Grand Rapids. Applications will be taken at Wealthy Theatre through April 13th. Contestants draw a title for their production and have the summer to create it. The resulting films will be screened at the September 14th festival at Wealthy Theatre.
