Following a sold out WYCE show in 2006, The TARBOX RAMBLERS will make their return to Grand Rapids and Jukes Bar on Wednesday May 2. The Tarbox Ramblers have added a third member, and a number of new songs. All Music Guide calls their music a "train wreck of swamp blues, hillbilly, gospel, and woolly folk." Tickets for the Tarbox Ramblers are available at Jukes Bar, on Leonard St just west of 131, and at Vertigo Music. Doors at 6pm, show at 8. Support for the Tarbox Ramblers comes from Global Infusion and Jukes Bar.

"Step It Up" is a national effort to convince our legislators to Step It Up and reduce the energy use of the United States by 80% for the year 2050. There will be three events on April 14th, one at the Hispanic Center of West Michin on Hall and Grandville at 10:30am, the second is at Aquinas College at 1607 Robinson Rd SE from 2-4pm and then at Divine Grace Ministries – Fuller & Franklin, 4pm – 6pm. WYCE's Hat Trick Concert continues with our third show featuring Rachel Sage on Monday April 23rd at 7:30pm at One Trick Pony. An East Village songstress, poet and multi-media maven Rachael Sage will be traveling with her drummer this time and has included us in her national tour. During this show we will pass the hat for Mixed Greens, an organization that teaches children about whole foods, gardening and nutrition. The Hat Trick series is presented by the law firm of Rhoades McKee, with support from Mark Swanson, maker of acoustic stringed instruments including guitars and bazoukis.
