WYCE is pleased to announce the second annual golf outing with WYCE programmers Saturday, June 17th at the Alpine Golf Course. This year’s event will be a four person scramble. Tee off time at high noon. Cost is $40 per person, and includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, lunch and regular and adult beverages. Prizes will be awarded for many categories. On Sunday, May 21 over 4,500 communities in 93 countries will gather in solitude remembering those who lost their lives to AIDS as the largest grassroots AIDS event--The International AIDS Candlelight Memorial-- takes place around the world. This year marks the 23rd annual observance globally and will mark the second year the event will be held in Grand Rapids.

The Red Thread Project will feature 500 hats in the public performance scheduled for 7:00 pm on Friday, June 30 at Rosa Parks Circle in downtown Grand Rapids. The hats will be attached to a knitted red cord measuring over a half-mile long. Community members are invited to come wear a hat and participate in the performance, which celebrates community connections – both visible and invisible.
