WYCE and the Community Media Center present an evening of independent music and film on Saturday, June 9th at Wealthy Theatre. The local premiere of the documentary film "Before the Music Dies" will examine the complicated world of the corporate music industry, and how independent artists are struggling to create their own success outside of the mainstream. The event will also feature performances from local artists before and after the screening of the film. "Keep the Music Alive" is a fundraiser for the CMC's capital campaign, and a chance to see how funds from that campaign are changing the technical capabilities of Wealthy Theatre. CMC's "Keep the Music Alive" fundraiser is Saturday, June 9th. Beer, wine and mixed drinks will be available as well as standard movie concessions. Cocktail hour begins at 6:00. WYCE's Hat Trick Concert continues with our third show featuring Rachel Sage on Monday April 23rd at 7:30pm at One Trick Pony. An East Village songstress, poet and multi-media maven Rachael Sage will be traveling with her drummer this time and has included us in her national tour. During this show we will pass the hat for Mixed Greens, an organization that teaches children about whole foods, gardening and nutrition. The Hat Trick series is presented by the law firm of Rhoades McKee, with support from Mark Swanson, maker of acoustic stringed instruments including guitars and bazoukis.
