Multicultural Association of Professionals and the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce present A Cultural Celebration featuring Mariachi Reyna de Los Angeles, on Friday April 28th at 8:00PM at the Forest Hills Fine Arts Center. This all-female mariachi ensemble combines masterpieces of mariachi music with popular songs sung in Mariachi style. This event will raise funds for the Multicultural Association of Professionals. Kent County – Senior Neighbors, Inc., a Kent County non-profit agency serving the needs of older adults, invites all area seniors to join the Mexican Fiesta at our annual Senior Neighbors Picnic on Friday, August 10 at Grandville High School, 4700 Canal Ave. Be sure to use the southernmost Canal Street entrance. The festivities start at 10:00 AM and go to 2:00 PM. Dinner is at 12 noon and will consist of mild Mexican fare. There will be piñatas, Mexican hat dancing, Bingo and other surprises! All Kent County seniors 60 years old or older are welcome. Reservation deadline is July 27 at the latest. The number to call for reservations is 459-6019.
