WYCE, One Trick Pony Grill & Taproom and The Law Firm of Rhoades McKee are pleased to announce BAHAMAS, as the first concert in this fall's Hat Trick Series, Monday, September 12! Afie Jurvanen, known by his stage name BAHAMAS, is a Canadian musician, best known for the 2009 album Pink Strat, which was nominated for a Juno Award for 'Solo Roots & Traditional Album of the Year'. The Ontario singer-songwriter has worked with such musicians as Feist, Howie Beck, Jason Collett and Zeus. Recommended minimum donation is $10 to the evening's nonprofit, Specialized Language Development Center, bringing the power of reading, writing and spelling to individuals with dyslexia or other unique learning styles. BAHAMAS in Grand Rapids - Monday, September 12! Sound engineering provided by On Stage Services. Lodging by Peaches Bed & Breakfast.

It's time for another WYCE Week at The Intersection. In mid-September, The Intersection Lounge presents four nights of WYCE-inspired music in a five-day span. Progressive bluegrass jam band Cornmeal is up first on Thursday, September 15th. On Friday the 16th, Detroit's "Smiths United" celebrate the music of Morrissey and The Smiths. On Sunday, the 18th, longtime alt-rock favorites They Might Be Giants take the stage. And, finally, on Monday, September 19th, Marc Broussard brings his New Orleans soul to Grand Rapids.
