Events for the Festival of Faith and Music 2011 include three nights of live performances by some of the leading artists in folk, rock, roots, and independent music, workshops led by musicians, critics, scholars, producers, and keynote speakers. Friday, April 8th, Calvin welcomes folk-pop duo The Civil Wars. Crowned by Paste Magazine as "The Best of What's Next", The Civil Wars features the harmonies of Joy Williams and John Paul White. The duo’s chance meeting two years ago fueled an immediate songwriting chemistry and creative synergy. Singer-songwriter Arum Rae opens. Showtime is 8pm.
