Families living in poverty and those with a disabled child appreciate help getting children ready for school. The line-up includes Grand Rapids bands the Bangups, Chance Jones, Lazy Genius and Chip Fundy, plus many others from across West Michigan -- all vying for a cash prize and a professional music video shoot. The showcase coincides with “The Happening” event in Grand Haven — with a beer tent, sidewalk sales, street performers, local food and wine from downtown restaurants. WYCE programmers will be on hand to help with emceeing duties. The Indie Rock Invitational, Friday, August 20th and Saturday, August 21st on Washington Avenue in downtown Grand Haven.
