August is here, and that means it's time for WYCE's presentation of the Tuesday Evening Music Club, every Tuesday in August at Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park. Each Tuesday, we showcase a sampling of some of West Michigan's best local talent. The third week of the series features alternative rock bands The Mines and Papa Vegas, performing on August 18th. The Tuesday Evening Music Club starts at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free to Meijer Gardens members. Non-members may simply purchase a day-pass, or stay tuned to WYCE for a chance to win tickets.

The Community Media Center presents the last in its "Three for Free" series of events at Wealthy Theatre. Join us Saturday, August 22nd at 8pm for "Salmagundi". This event is free to members of the CMC. It features a diverse combination of musical genres and two official ArtPrize entries! Symphony musicians will play with electric violinist Ritsu in the ArtPrize entry "FearScape"; percussionists from Glean Infusion back Chicago lyricist Nay Ink; ballet dancers from DITA perform; and Catherine Herrman will premiere her ArtPrize dance piece, called “Touching Peace.” Become a Community Media Center member at the event and enjoy bar privilege at Wealthy Theatre and discounts on many theatre events.
