Icelandic singer/songwriter Ásgeir specializes in intimate, soulful songs that span indie electronic and atmospheric folk.
An overnight success in his native Iceland, where the then 21-year-old released his 2012 debut album “In The Silence” - which quickly broke every regional record in the book (it's estimated that almost ten percent of the Icelandic population owns the album.)
For his 2020 album, Bury The Moon, Asgier booked space in a tiny rural home in the Icelandic countryside and spent the winter writing songs reflecting on love and loss.
Musically, the record is a direct but continually surprising experience, moving from starkly beautiful folk passages through to clinical electronics.
Bury The Moon was recently added to the WYCE Music Library.
