The band Imarhan hails from the north African country of Algeria, where the modern-meets-traditional music of the Tuareg people thrives. This sextet of desert blues musicians have just released their second album, titled Temet, of which Rolling Stone says "contains the handclaps, female vocal responders, and goatskin percussion of Tuareg music, but with gnarlier guitars."
Imarhan is touring extensively throughout Europe and the US. Imarhan perform at Spacebar in Columbus, Ohio on May 5th and Subterranean in Chicago on May 7th.
