Today we celebrate the career of Michigan musician May Erlewine – who took home not one, not two, but three Jammie Awards last weekend. In November 2017, Erlewine released her latest album called Mother Lion. For which she received top Jammie recognitions – Album of the Year, Best Contemporary Folk Album, and Song of the Year for ‘Never One Thing.’
Mother Lion is the newest of Erlewine’s broad discography collection. On it, you’ll hear her signature folk-blues sound, captivating vocals, and lyrics seeping with authenticity, growth and hope.
Erlewine is originally from Big Rapids, Michigan. She lives now in Traverse City with her daughter, Iris, and travels across the state and the country to play music. She plays in West Michigan frequently.
Her next Grand Rapids show is on February 21st where she’ll play in a living room for Home Sweet Home Shows. For more details on other upcoming shows and all of her music, check out mayerlewine.com.
