Grammy winning vocalist, songwriter, and actor Glen Hansard has new music out this month. Hansard released Between Two Shores on January 19th, on which, the Irish folk singer details heartfelt tracks about breaking up and redemption.
Between Two Shores follows Hansard’s 2016 Grammy nomination best folk album, Didn’t He Ramble. In 2007, the Irish busker took home his first Grammy for “Falling Slowly” for best original song from the film Once. Hansard, though now working on his solo career, was the long-time front man of the Irish rock band The Frames. He has also partnered with Marketa Irglova in Swell Season. He and Irglova co-starred in Once and wrote “Falling Slowly” together.
Hansard has embarked on his world tour, with a stop in Michigan, playing at the Royal Oak Music Theatre on March 20th. Between Two Shores is now available online, in stores, and on Spotify.
