Indie pop duo Tennis is preparing to release the new EP We Can Die Happy on November 11. This is the follow-up to the band's successful 2016 album Yours, Conditionally. The band's story began with a boat trip. Husband and wife Patrick Riley and Alaina Moore met as college students at the University of Colorado Denver. Following their graduation, they took a sail boat and for seven months they traveled up and down the Eastern Seaboard. While on this trip they discussed music and when they returned to Colorado following the trip, they started recording.

2010 saw the release of their first handful of singles followed by a year of touring and work on their debut album, Cape Dory, which was released in January of 2011. The album was heavily inspired by their experience on that seven month sailing trip. The release of Cape Dory led to a full year of touring across the country. Despite the hectic tour schedule, they were able to write and record their follow-up album in a short period of time.  That album Young & Old was produced by Patrick Carney of The Black Keys and was released to good reviews in 2012.  Early last year, the duo embarked upon another sailing trip, this time in the Pacific. They documented this process in a blog hosted by Urban Outfitters. Following this trip, they started their own label Mutually Detrimental and released their fourth album, Yours, Conditionally, through that label.
