Wayne "The Train" Hancock will be bringing his Juke Joint Swing to the Tip Top Deluxe tonight! Hancock's music career began at a young age writing songs at the age of twelve and winning the Wrangler Country Showdown at eighteen. Following a six year stint in the military, Hancock's career began to take off. He moved to Austin, Texas in 1994, appearing in the musical theater productions and releasing his highly acclaimed debut album Thunderstorms and Neon Signs in 1995.
Over the course of his career, Hancock became known for his unique style which, according to his website, is “an alchemist’s dream of honky-tonk, western swing, blues, Texas rockabilly and big band". His career hit a setback in 2014, when he was involved in a serious motorcycle accident, suffering a collapsed lung and fractured elbow. Hancock was not going to let that stop him from making music and entertaining audiences. He bounced back in 2016 with his most recent album Slingin' Rhythm.
