Muscle Shoals based siblings Lydia and Laura Rogers have been recording as the Secret Sisters since 2009. The duo's delightful harmonies and throwback style caught the ear of music legend T Bone Burnett. Burnett was so impressed by their talents that he started his own label, Beladroit, to release the album. The self titled debut album was released in 2010 to critical acclaim. Along with their work with Burnett, the sisters also recorded with Jack White and through his Third Man Records, released a 7-inch single Big River that same year.
The duo released their second album Put Your Needle Down in 2014. Working again with Burnett, the duo incorporated elements of garage rock and 1960's girl groups to their folksy Americana. Along with their own music, the sisters appeared on albums from the likes of Willie Nelson, The Chieftains, and Dan Layus. Their most recent album You Don't Own Me Anymore was just release on June 9th and was produced by Brandi Carlile.
