Reggae band The Wailing Souls brings its unique brand of Jamaican rock to the Pyramid Scheme this Thursday night, June 29. The long running band started life way back in the 1960's and they're still going strong. The band's latest album "Island Girl" came out in April. Formed as The Renegades in the late 60s, the band has gone through many lineup changes over the past fifty years with the only constants being founding members Winston "Pipe" Matthews and Lloyd "Bread" McDonald.
In its long and storied career, The Wailing Souls have amassed accolades and three Grammy nominations. Their songs have also appeared in the Disney feature films Mulan and Cool Runnings.
