This Stockholm-based trio will be bringing its unique form of indie pop to 20 Monroe Live on June 23rd.  Miike Snow consists of  American song writer Andrew Wyatt and Swedish producers Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg who, under the name Bloodshy and Avant, have produced songs for Brittney Spears, Katy Perry, and other major pop artists. Wyatt met Karlsson and Winnberg in 2004 and formed Miike Snow in 2007.  The genesis of the band's name comes from a friend of the band whose name happened to be Mike Snow.  According to the band, when they sat down to come up with a name, one of the members received an email from a friend named Mike Snow and they "added the extra I because [they] liked the look of it".

Miike Snow released their self-titled debut album in 2009. Along with its own recording, the band also remixed tracks from artists like Depeche Mode, Kings of Leon, and Vampire Weekend.  Miike Snow's third album "iii" was released last year.
