WYCE Jammie Awards

  • History

Founded in 1999, the WYCE Jammie Awards is an annual celebration of the year’s best Michigan music. After 2 years away, the Jammies are BACK Saturday, June 25th at The Intersection with a Pre-Party on the Listening Lawn at Studio Park beginning at 2pm.

The event is intended to highlight our diverse, high quality music community, strengthening the relationship between artists and listeners in West Michigan and features over 25 bands on various stages. The Jammies typically gives out a wide variety of awards to artists across West Michigan but with difficulties for artists over last few years due to Covid, WYCE has partnered with Michigan Music Alliance in the spirit of "Collaboration Over Competition" to present Ovation awards to those in our community who made an impact during the pandemic. More information on the Michigan Music Alliance Ovation awards can be found here

Though there is no cover charge, donations are collected at the door for our listener supported radio station to continue programming “A World of Music” and hosting great community events like the Jammies.

WYCE also partners with organizations such as Feeding America West Michigan to hold a food drive during the Jammies every year. In 2020, over 200 pounds of food were collected at the Jammie Awards!
