After over 2 years away, Open Projector Night (OPN) is finally returning to the big screen. Now at its new home: Wealthy Theatre and the Grand Rapids Community Media Center.
Open Projector Night is a celebration of Michigan made short films. Originally founded in 2012, at the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts, OPN provides the accessible opportunity for local and regional filmmakers to share their work on the big screen and connect with others. At OPN screenings, audiences and filmmakers can experience a diverse range of locally made films from all genres including: narrative, animation, commercial, music videos, and experimental. Screenings are followed by a filmmaker Q&A and conversation.
Mark your calendars! The first OPN back will be Wednesday November 9th at Wealthy Theatre. Tickets & info at: https://grcmc.org/em/open-projector-night-fall-2022-11-09-2022
Submissions for the following OPN will be open soon. Filmmakers interested in sharing their work can visit: https://filmfreeway.com/OpenProjectorNight
