Community Media Center (CMC) is committed to maintaining the privacy of its members, donors and website visitors. We will use our best efforts to respect your requests regarding the collection and use of your personal information, and we do not sell, lease or lend your personal information to third parties.
Our web server collects statistical data regarding visitors to the website, such as the visitor's IP address, browser type, referring page and time of visit. This information does not identify you personally, and is only used in aggregate form in order to manage our website and improve its content.
We collect individually identifiable information that you share about yourself, for example when you purchase a membership or make a donation. You may access your user profile to update or change your information at any time. Upon your request we will assist you in updating or modifying your information to ensure its accuracy.
We may use this information to communicate with you regarding the CMC’s programs and services, which may include a request for financial support. You may request to opt out of these communications by contacting us with that request.
We will not provide any third parties (other than contractors providing the CMC with mailing or other similar services) with your information for any reason at any time unless explicitly required by law or specified in this policy.
When purchasing tickets or conducting other online credit transactions, your address is used to validate your credit card. Your credit card information will never be stored on our systems at any time for any reason. Credit card transactions are validated and processed using a secure third-party system. Your personal information is accessible by authorized CMC staff or contractors, and is otherwise not able to be viewed by anyone.
To safeguard your personal information, we take great care to use the most up-to-date web server applications, security patches, firewalls, and other industry-standard data protection methods.
