Starts: 11:00am
Doors: 11:00AM
Duration: 3 hours

Mother’s Message is the perfect event to attend with your mother or family to celebrate all that she has done for you! It is a multi-sensory art instillation, musical concert by Cloudlight and interactive exhibit experience incorporating handwritten letters and voicemail messages from community members to their mother’s. An atmosphere instilled with the warmth of love and the nostalgia of all the times we have truly connected with it's power. Take a walk through, be transported and enliven your heart in your deepest feelings. We are dedicating this to the women whose greatest qualities and positive energies we see and feel every time we look in the mirror.

Mother’s Message visually incorporates the 2 themes of motherhood and cancer, the constellation that becomes visible in the northern hemisphere in early Spring, around Mother’s Day. The zodiac sign is of a crab whose claws are meant to emulate the breasts of a woman. It is a symbol of womanhood and motherhood.

Tickets can be purchased through the Wealthy Theatre and are $10 pre-sale / $12 at the door. Please contact the Theatre directly for pre-sale tickets at tel: 616-459-4788, x130. The exhibit will open at 11am in the Wealthy Theatre’s Micro Cinema and run until 2pm. Live music by cloudlight at 11:30 and 1. Children under 12 are free.

This event is brought to you by Melolagnia, Whitney Becker with Creative ConceptsNovo Chiropractic Sports & Wellness Center and The Vendor Exchange, LLP.

Melolagnia specializes in creating immersive event experiences. This event is focused on Motherly love. The Micro-Cinema space will be filled with site-specific art installations, live music, touchable art, photo opportunity spaces and more! We try to target numerous human senses in the space to create an all encompassing experience while also increasing accessibility for those with various levels of sensory ability. Through studying several locals experiences with Motherly love Melolagnia has designed an experience intended to create an emotional and loving response. A reminder of the Motherly love in our own lives, and the need to give thanks to those individuals we share Motherly love with.

At The Vendor Exchange, LLP, we believe we can change tomorrow through our emerging businesses to today. We work primarily with emerging, local businesses to help instill responsible practices into their foundations and then provide them with opportunities to grow purposefully, making a positive impact either locally, socially, environmentally or socio-economically. We do this through 3 initiatives: The Indie Flea Grand Rapids, a local makers market which was designed to give Responsible Businesses a chance to grow, collaborate and get immersed in their community. We are environmentally responsible and working towards a zero waste and plastic free process. We host monthly seminar/networking groups incorporating critical thinking and covering a different innovative Responsible Business practice topic each time. Our seminars are called Pioneering Entrepreneurs! Meet and Reimagine Responsible Business. Thirdly, we have www.msmerchantmagazine.com which is a platform to bring female entrepreneurs together who are looking to make positive change through their business. We link new insights to ideas and encourage diversity as a way to spark innovation.
