Last month saw HAIM release their highly anticipated second album Something to Tell You. The band consists of sisters Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim. Their music career began at a young age, when they performed with their parents in a cover band Rockinhaim. In 2005, the sisters began performing with the group Valli Girls. They formed HAIM in 2007, but nothing came of it at first. During the years before their debut, Danielle worked as a session guitarist for Jenny Lewis and Julian Casablancas. In 2012, the sisters began recording, which led to their first EP Forever

The EP caught the ear of Polydor records and Jay-Z's Rocnation, which lead to the release of 2013's Days Are Gone.  The critical and commercial success of the album, helped by the hit single "The Wire", thrust the trio into the spotlight. The band were named Best International Band by British music journal NME, and they were nominated for the Best New Artist Grammy. Anticipation was high for whatever the sisters were going to do for their follow-up record. The band began teasing the new album in April, with a music video for "Right Now" directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, followed by the release of lead single "Want You Back" in May. Reviews of Something to Tell You have drawn favorable comparisons to the work of Fleetwood Mac and other rock bands of the 70s and 80s.
