Electric Poetry: Calandra Jones

posted by Matt Jarrells on 06/11/2016
Aired 2016-6-7. Calandra would say she is more unicorn than poet. Former President of the only student-led spoken word performance poetry group at dear old Dartmouth and coach for the Dartmouth CUPSI team, she infuses poetry and storytelling to help audiences navigate the real social consequences of racial, sexual, and class-based oppression. When she's not throwing half-written poems into the small trashcan in her bathroom, she is admiring the innate grace of cats, drowning herself in white wine, and living by her own rules.
