Artist Of The Day: Kacy & Clayton

posted by Shane German on 11/13/2019

Kacy & Clayton grew up a few miles from one another in Wood Mountain Uplands, a rural community in Saskatchewan, where their family started a ranch in 1911.

The Canadian duo are cousins whose music recalls the glory days of British folk-rock like Fairport Convention and Richard & Linda Thompson with recognizable country influences and strong harmonies and evocative but sweetly sad melodies.

After successful tours with Wilco and The Decemberists, the duo has released their latest effort “Carrying On” which was produced by Jeff Tweedy.  This new album cites Bobbie Gentry’s The Delta Sweete Revisited and 60’s psychedelic rock as influences.

Carrying On was recently added to the WYCE Music Library.
