What is Youth Channel?
"Generation Why!" is GRTV's new Youth Channel group and is a partner of the National Youth Media Access Project started by Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN) in New York.
It is and alternative to mass media created to provide equal access to all young people regardless of ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation or social status. We strive to build confidence, establish role models, inform, educate and entertain while reinforcing the fact that youth are capable of creating positive initiatives in their communities and the entire country.
The Youth Channel is governed and programmed by youth. We have four partners including the Manhattan Neighborhood Network, and public access centers in Denver, Colorado; Atlanta, Georgia and Seattle, Washington.
