2006: Laurie Cirivello hired as Executive Director

2005: CMC acquires the Wealthy Theatre on March 9th, 2005.

2005: Dirk Koning, founding director of the Community Media Center, passes away at age 48.

2002: CMC and GRTV launch MOLLIE, the MObile Learning Lab for Information Education.

2001: City of Grand Rapids signs 15-year franchise with AT&T Cable that includes GRTV and LiveWire.

1998: CMC unveils GRIID, the Grand Rapids Institute for Information Democracy.

1997: CMC dedicates new facility in the Westside Library.

1995: CMC launches the Community Access Network (CAN), an ISP for nonprofits later to become GrandNet.

1994: CMC awarded former Health Channel.

1993: GRCAC adopts Community Media Center (CMC) as its dba.

1989: GRCAC assumes ownership of community radio station WYCE, 88.1 FM.

1987: Chuck Peterson joins GRCAC staff.

1986: Lillie Oliver joins GRCAC staff.

1985: City of Grand Rapids signs 15-year franchise

1984: Federal Cable act allows additional funding.

1983: GRTV opens in lower level of the Ryerson Library.

1982: First live broadcast on GRTV.

1981: Dirk Koning hired as executive director.

1980: Grand Rapids Cable Access Center, Inc. formed.
